damn been a while since i updated this thread. Bimmer is fixed, we found a red 94 that was being parted and snagged EVERYTHING to fix it. the roof is still dented but both the wife and I feel it adds character.  we also installed this last winter, a set of 17x8 BMW Style 19 wells. they set the car off!!!! so for now that car is done until i can find a set of black power vader seats (M3 Coupe only!) and window tint.

also in the last few months, i picked up an 82 Mazda RX7 GSL. its a fun little toy. 12a Rotary, 5spd, LSD out back (yes it works VERY well) 4 wheel disc brakes, power windows, cruise, AC (non working though and R12 is impossible to get.) power mirrors (dont work), and rear wiper (doesn't work either). it needs some work but all in all a good little runner. 178k on the clock and runs strong. the ONLY things i hate about the car are teh 13x5 inch wheels and the 4x110 lug pattern. i want bigger wheels but there's nothing available new for that pattern now.  adapters here i come. 4x100 or 4x114.3, that is the question......

Oh and i also FINALLY picked up the motor for my 77 Power Wagon. i still need to pull it from the 76 Tioga i got, but its a strong runner. cant wait to put that V motor into my truck. thatll be fun.

well, the sunday before last my neighbors tree decided to fall on the Bimmer. not a good day. the damage wasn't bad but Insurance decided it wasn't worth fixing and totalled it. i needs a hood, fender adn a small dent pulled from the roof. windshield was replaced yesterday as well as getting the title squared away. all in all $2400 for a free car, i cant complain. it should be straight here soon enough as i have a new fender, trunk lid and tail lights (the tails i didn't really need but smoked lights just look so good).

i dont think its really the trans on the Rabbit. i think i have a vacuum leak which in turn, since i have a mechanical injection system on this thing, wont allow enough fuel to the motor. hence it wont stay running right and it will not be enough engine speed to engage reverse. there are a total of 4 spots that could cause this. 2 intake boots, one at the fuel distributor and one at the throttle body, the Idle air valve, and the tubes that go to it. i can get all but ONE of the parts. the boot at teh throttle body is no longer available AT ALL!!!!! this is a real big piss off.

and to boot, our jeep is now giving us issues as well.  its now randomly dieing. if i can keep the revs up I can drive ti but it spits and sputters like it wants to die but wont. it seems like its either a crank position sensor, or a really big vac leak like the rabbit.

now i am really fkn pissed off. transmission died in the rabbit last night. reverse is DONE. who knows when i'll get my spare trans installed in it, if i can even get over to my buddys place to grab it. so that means my wife gets to drive the Bimmer while i enjoy my 620. which i found out today, the tabs expire..... TODAY. at least its a $400+ savings on the insurance with the truck instead of the bunny.

well i found out it was NOT the seals on the oil cooler in the passat, but the cooler itsself. not a happy camper about that as i dont have a spare cooler to throw in. damnit this blows. i need the car just in case i blow up the Bimmer. i could alwasy take the wifes jeep, but its got its own fun issues, like the hinge pins for the drivers door are SHOT.

Well my trusty old B3 passat decided to sh*t the bed again. blew the oil cooler seals AGAIN. this makes the 4th time in 3 years that have had to reseal it. this pisses me off! at leats my wifes Rabbit is running again. still needs a good tune and to header wrap the starter but that's nothing big.

Oh and our trusty Jeep suprised me on Sunday. was able to pull my 85 Caprice WAGON parts car out of our field. its a muddy, rutted mess and that car is 2 tons of dead weight. even with a froze up rear diff. not bad for 270,000+ miles on the original untouched drivetrain.
