I have mines mounted on the frame, in front of the right rear tire but closer to the cab. Mines isn't loud because it's pushing fuel forward. Yours is loud because it's pulling fuel from the rear. Eventually it'll overheat and burn out. Been there, done that.

ah yeah I installed it in the engine bay. I can move it though. IT IS LOUD! I have bushings between the pump and bracket and bracket and body but it doesnt do much. Good suggestion on the filter between the two!

Be sure to mount the electric fuel pump near the gas tank and install a filter between them. Nice progress, keep it going. On your 1st test drive it's gonna be an awesome feeling.

All I want to do is laugh maniacally... But $5,000+ later
The engine has been completely rebuilt...
Got a 5 speed that I got completely rebuild...
Basically everything on the car has been replaced.
I will try and go through and remember everything
as well as get some pictures up!

Engine is all new as well as new electronic ignition/coil
Re-wired everything with new fuse block for the entire car.
New electronic fuel pump and pressure regulator.
New electric fan, 10" I believe.
New 90 amp alternator, custombracket/pully and new starter.
New battery. A lot more but cannot remember everything right now.

All new Hella Lights, turn signals, rear lights and new glass.
I have a new rear bumper as well but need to find the correct brackets to attach.

New disc brakes all around with 15"rims and michelin tires. Had to upgrade
to have enough space for the custom brackets needed to attach disc brakes.
New master cylinder and booster as well as brake lines.
Rebuilt rear end as well as drive shaft.
New clutch, master and slave cylinders for the rebuilt tranny.

There is about 15 more boxes of just random interior and exterior parts that I still
need to put on.

So basically everything on the car is brand new except paint.. and there are rumors
that will be done as well. :-)

I really tried to find the l16 intake/exhaust manifold but was unable to so got it all machined
and new gaskets ready to be put on. I am thinking 2" exhaust and still deciding on
a muffler. I got a holly intake filter as well to sit atop the new carb.

Can you say excited to get it started up? :)
