talked to this lady today about a 240z, this thing looks sweet in the pics but she says the floorboards have some rust and so do the front fenders and the cowl above the hood. i called her today and she told me if i came with 1000 bucks i could have it, i am going to offer her 750 or 800, hell they have already gone from 2000 to 1750 to 1000 in a matter of days!!! tell me what you guys think, i want to buy it but she said the rust had scared away some other customers, i dont know if thats bad or if they are just wusscakes and cant handle a little rust.  only bad thing is i will have to trailer it home

I bet it looks totally different when the paint isn't wet.  You really need to see it with the paint dry to tell if you will be able to just buff it out.  Being dry will also help you find any spots that are in primer or have been worked!

i ahve made an offer, all of you guyz pray for me and hope she accepts, the way they went from 2000 to 1750 to 1000 bucks makes me wonder just how hard up for cash they really are!! this could be a bargain!

the drive was about 6 hrs total, but it sucked getting it on the trailer because it was raining and the right rear drum is locked so the tire wouldnt move, i will get some pics up tomorrow as it is pouring out and it rained on us the whole way home, we took my dads old truck and something in the wiring harness burned and we had to stop at flyin js and straight wire the headlights so we could get home, damn what a trip, it rained the whole day and a few bad things about the car
1. it has rust, some of it looks pretty bad but nothing a good welder like myself cant fix
2. it has beed painted before and there is a small amount of bondo in it
3. the dash is a little cracked and the interior needs work!
4. ill have to replace the floor from the back of the seat up!!!!!! ahhhhh!!!!!

BUT A FEW GOOD THINGS ARE
1. i got it home for 700 bucks plus 50 in fuel and 20 bucks at steak and shake
2. whover painted the car layed down a nice coat of paint
3. the engine is really clean no leaks or missing parts
4. it has a nice wood steering wheel
5. it has a set of black snowflakes with chrome lip
6. dual webers that are clean clean!!!!
7. the engine bay is pretty clean
8. it has a new msd coil and wires

i will know alot more tomorrow evening when i get it off the trailer and start tearing into it
im sure there will be more bad but hey what fun is a project you dont have to work on !!!!

here is some scary sh*t!!!    the car got loose a bit on the last leg of the trip and slid back about 2 feet, if it went another foot and a half it woulda been toast. we stopped and chacked and tightened the load straps 3 times!!!! i guess they got wet and stretched and slipped, its actually really scary now that i think about it. but no harm no fould i guess, live and learn and thank god it wasnt worse

well boys the vitamin z project was short lived, i dug into her today only to find the entire floor and most of the firewall and the back part of the front rails gone!!, i will get pics up later on, but now im on the hunt for a car with a good body, if i can find one with a good body i will swap all the good parts i can.

well guys heres the bad!  not much to say here other than holy sheepsh*t, and wonder how someone could let it get this bad.   they layed a half crap floor pan over the old rusty one and tacked it in then covered it with bondo!!, the bondo made it worse PS- I'm the one in the gray dickies suit

i also had the scumbag running today, god man i love the webers, it starts up and runs like 10 times better than my 620!, this car has sat for 7 years and a added some fuelk and she hit on the first crank and ran smooth as cake, i think it has a cam in it because it idles like a boss, smooth but thumpy, and there was papers in the glovebox and a t shirt from some ohio autocross races
