This is my first post. My name is Devin and I own a Hardbody and a Frontier. In the past I have owned a 1981 720 and an 84 1-ton Dually 720. Found this very early 620 scrapped at Trout's recycling in Waterloo NY. Registration says 1972 and hasn't been on the road since 1996.

Hey Devin!  Welcome to DMT!!

That's a heck of a 620, are you thinking of purchasing it?

The plastic around the shifter is new to me, well maybe not but yeah...  Anyhow..  Get under the hood with your camera!  Probably going to have a 1600 if, by chance, it's remained stock over the years..

I'd really like to know about the bucket seats it has!  I've been looking for a set of saturn buckets like den&lisa's 620 has!

I am curious if the yellow top truck directly behind the 620 is maybe a nash wrecker? Can you check on it for me?  I need parts for one.

Thanks for the warm welcome, she's not mine and the yard won't sell her to me. Everytime I go she's more abused by people who don't give a damn about what it is so all I can do is watch her rot which makes me sad. I'll get some pics of my HB in the coming days.

No prob, I hit that yard once a month looking for things to sell so I can fund my own projects.

those are 240Z seats just like the pair in my '74. that shifter looks to be bolted in from the bottom similar to early datsun trannys like the '69 roadsters. the tranny is probably an early model, not from a 620

Yeh, I get sad any time I walk that part of the yard because I'd love a 620 in that configuration so bad. I have to wait till I finish fixing my Hardbody...one project at a time for me.

If I said I had one off of a 510 with a L16 what would your offer be?

I actually have a complete L16 head, not the SSS version, with valve cover and oil cap that I have been sitting on for years. Needs to be re-done but it's all there and in great shape.

I'd do $20 shipped if you want for the cap. I dug it out of a box of stuff I have sitting around.

i'll have to think on it. i'm hoping to find one in a junkyard for nearly nothing. knotty is wanting to know the casting # on that head you have.

It's not the SSS head if that is what Knotty wants to know. Next time I'm in the garage I'll grab the number again because I can't remember it off hand.
