Looks great. I'm diggin that color. Can't beat the all metal dashs. I wish a couple years of the 620 had a all metal dash. I picked one up at a pull part last year just to hold on to incase I get a 521 one of these days.

worked on grimace today. installed cab mounts, removed steel fuel line and brake lines so that i can replaced them hopefully but next weekend and then bleed both the brake master and clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder then off to the exhaust shop for some new 2" piping and use my vw stinger exhaust muffler or run a 40 series flowmaster muffler

Posted By: dat521
Date Posted: 10 Mar 2012 at 2:02am
well finally went to muffler shop to install my vw stinger exhaust but it was loud even with a baffle in it and it sounded terrible so i used 1 of 2 flowmaster mufflers. i don't know if they are a 40 series muffler or not. it doesn't sound to bad. it does sound different coming from a 4 cylinder motor than it does from my 5.3 liter v-8 in my silverado.  now that i have done that part now i have to run new fuel/brake metal lines and then finally bleed entire hydraulic systems before i can take it for a quick little spin around the block. i took a video tonight but i will have to delete it and re-record it during the daytime for better viewing pleasures.

Progress!!!!  I'd really like to hear the exhaust!  Would you sit the camera back behind the truck and give her a few revs?

i figured that everybody with a 521 paint the tail light frames black and with my color it would clash so i decided to paint them flat aluminum color instead. looks great againt the purple don't you agree?  there you go rusty.  redid the front valance as well to many dings in it straightened it out and rewelded cracks from the back side. i now have back in primer ready for purple paint to be srayed on it

bench bleed the new dual reservoir m/c and installed on grimace a few weeks ago, tonight I installed the brake lines and swapped out throttle cable/bracket since they are a little different and shorter cable, now all I gotta do is bleed the brakes , rode test and set proportioning valve for the rear brakes and then get it to the body shop for final prepping and paint

it looks like i'm going to have to repo my truck, paint /materials and fiberglass gt spoiler shell and the money i gave ahole cuz it as been 3 months now and still not painted. he rather work on taxi cabs and other cars that he has had from various locations, he has moved 3 x since 2015 and the only reason i chose him is cuz he does good work and candy paint cars but he has over extended himself and you have to constantly stay on his ass, i think he is huffing the paint fumes when he sprays cars

well me and charlie went and express our feelings to the painter about the lack of work done on my 521 and i gave him a final ultimatum, i want my truck done completely and done right cuz i will be picking it up on wednesday and if not done i will be grabbing the remainder of my paint and supplies and the money he owes me  and report him to the BBB cuz he doesn't want to mess with this army veteran who has special forces training plus i have a lawyer

well i went to see if any updates done and fender/ door in primer. will go back on wednesday to see if more updates done

well after 2 days of working on my 521, i have some sad news, i was hoping to have it done at least in primer but with the painter dicking around for 5 months and working on other cars and using my supplies on them, and not paying is rent, the landlord locked up the shop and he told me that if i wanted my truck that i needed it gone by end of friday. so im out $2600 and i am so irritated and ready to beat his ass but where will that get me, in jail for assault and battery i'm kinda at a point to just sell everything and become a hermit, i'm so tired of trusting people and get burnt

Posted By: dat521
Date Posted: 09 Aug 2017 at 9:54pm
well me and charlie went to another paint shop in my area and the painter came and looked at my 521 to give me an estimate, paint will be around $600 if i supplied my paint /clear coat but to finish/redo body work will be $1000 and a additional $200 to prep and paint fiberglass canopy. and will take 1 month and i don't have to pay full amount upfront only $500.
