Hello, my name is Roy and I am a new member. A couple of years ago I traded a Dodge 3/4 ton p/u I no longer needed for a 79 Mini motorhome. It is a frame mount, fiberglass, cab over camper built on a Datsun 620 p/u . The original owner had passed away not long after buying it new. It has 9800 [hundred!] miles on it but was parked out by the barn for about 30 years. Everything is original from the orange shag carpet [badly faded]  to the AM/FM/8 track radio. In the last few years it has had several owners that did nothing with it. I recently started to restore it. The body is badly rusted but has no holes, the hood was missing but the engine was covered. The air cleaner had been removed, but was in the back, and the carb had been home to generations of mud daubers. After removing the carb, water pump and radiator I cut the old belts and was able to turn the engine easily with a wrench. I think theremay be hope for it. As soon as I rebuild the carb, replace the frozen water pump and connect a garden hose to the inlet, I will attempt to start it. then when I get it running I will get to the body.
With any luck I will finish this project before I go the way of the original owner!
