its weird, she'll do this from time to time and without warning. then i'll let her sit overnight and she'll run like a top again. this is weird. also i have not run this truck totally out of gas ever.

Even thou you haven't ran it out of gas before, that could still be your problem. Everything settles while it sits and then when you get to driving, all the little particals and stuff get moving around in the tank. I'd drain your tank out, its easy to do, and see what comes out. Change your fuel filter. Do you have one of those fuel regulators on there? That seemed to make my problem worse. I took it off and found out I really didn't need it anyway.

i have drained the tank several times since owning this truck and its always came out super clean. and no regulators on my truck. just the mechanical pump and the weber. i'll swap filters as soon as i can get one.

i think a fuel return line started with the '75 model as my '74 doesn't have one.

the occasional stalling when coming to a stop could be from a leaking brake booster or defective check valve. another probable cause could be from sediment sitting on the bottom of the fuel bowl in the carb.

Could be either one. I still have my 78 that I parted. Might yank the check valve out of it and see. Also I have never taken this carb down. I have a rebuild kit, just no time to do it. I mIght check the shafts as well, they might be wobbly like my other Weber.

well shes been running good but i think i have a clogged fuel filter. i'll pick one up here soon but i have no real reason to drive teh truck right now. our other truck is running good so i'll stick with that for now. i still have a bunch of work to do to this one. gotta wire in my other door pin, rebuild the weber, service the rear diff and trans, oil change, valve adjustment, and brake adjustment. yay loads of fun......

Cool, easy fixes for the most part, sounds like time is hard to come by!
