the drums on my 78 are new with less than 3000 miles on em. the only reason i am going with those is i cant afford to get a whole lot right now. and the fact that they are new. as for everything else, i would rather go new than used. now if ya have adjusters in good shape, but as said, cant afford a whole lot now.

well i got the new shoes on, and a new pass side flex line. i didn't swap drums as the old ones are in good shape. but i figured out what went wrong. last time i worked on the brakes i didn't lube the adjuster slide areas. so it would pivot for the braking but didn't release. now i feel stupid but the idiots that last "looked" at my brakes said everything was fine.... till i had NO brakes.

That's the plan. I need to get this thing going soon. Hopefully I can get it done soon as well as my wife's Rabbit. I gotta do a head gasket on the bimmer so I need something reliable. I also found a weber rebuild kit so hopefully I can do that as well. It'll be nice to have a working truck again.

i am workin on the datsun so i can work on the bimmer. love the BMW but my little datto is awesome. it hauls a ton of wood, looks cooler than anything i have ever owned, and even after sitting for MONTHS at a shot, it fires right up and runs like a champ.
