Rusty it might look like a long bed due to it being lowered so much, but lets not forget there never was a factory long bed KC! I count 4 hooks on this bed and not the 5 hook long bed trade mark! Big smile

those rear shackles look different than any i have ever seen and the leaf spring dearching looks scary
the first and last time i heated and bent springs like that they broke on the first bump (81 maxima wagon diesel ask 1Bad about that one)
but other than that your truck looks good
i am with Rusty on the long bed is that a factory thing on the island or is it custom and the frame been streched?

Okay I studied the picture some more trying to determine if it is a short or a long bed! Okay my thoughts are that it is a short bed, for one thing it has 4 hooks just like a short bed! Reason number 2 it has been lowered and that makes a truck look longer, especially the 620's! Reason number 3, the angle the picture was snapped at makes it look even longer! Hey Ehud, take your tape measure out there and tell us how many inches long that thing is! Thumbs Up

I think four door 620 came with three hooks, short bed have four hooks and long beds have five hooks. But have a friend that streched a KC and added a long bed.

You are correct, crew cab is a 3 hooker, short bed is a 4 hooker and the long bed is a 5 hooker! Man that is so many hookers that I need to see a picture of your friends long bed KC now! Tongue

1st of all, slam is right about this 'everyman's dream truck', it's a bed with 4 hookers! and that's no stretch of the truth either. lol
knotty, those are factory shackles and bending leafs go way back from the 60s. my brother's b210 hatch and his friends 1200 coupes all did the same thing back then, heat'em up, bend'em, flipp'em, mono-leaf, etc.
