What's the part number of the distributor? What kinda problems are you having?

i know its been a while but still same issues with truck skipping like it has a dead cylinder..ive tried gapping points and replace with two new ones and condenser..as well as new cap and rotor button new wires and hot plugs.i also set timing several times and also have a weber carb 32/36 with .50 and .55 jets any suggestions

I am assuming that you are talking about your 620 with an L block in it, I would just convert over to a matchbox electronic ignition and ditch the points.
I know the voices are not real, but they have some really good ideas.

Thumbs Up yeah most likely will..i want this thing to run like it used too..had side drafts but was forced to sell when was in a slump and let sit up..ever since has ran like crap..

If ethanol gas is left to sit for a long while it will cause problems especially on an engine with a carb(s).
Try a stock Datsun distributor for any improvement

i know its been a few weeks but after racking my brain adjusting distributor 50 times and carb as well decided to pull valve cover and low and behold...#7 rock was laying in the head along with valve lash pad..so pulled head and the valve seat fell out and lodged valve open..so head fix time and etc
