yes!! Smaller than an " open head" but larger than a "closed head" with a bit more. Than a of a dome than a wedge. I have often wanted one of these to put on top of a LZ23 to see how. They run

When you say Z valves what valves are are you talking about? 40mm valves or 44mm? How big are tbe intake ports? Was it ported all the way to the bowl and then blended? Has it been pressure tested after the port work? the rockers new or resurfaced? Has cam been run or "broke in" . I have lots of questions. Looks like a good machinest has done a good job.

What valve springs were used? The cam specs out to .460 lift and 236° duration @.50 on a 110 lsa good for 2000-6000 rpms. May be a bit much on stock springs.

The intake valves are 44 mm, it has been pressure tested as part of the process, the rockers were new when I bought them about 8 years ago (along with the cam) and they've only been used with this 280 Comp cam. The cam was seasoned as per the Comp cams installation instructions. I only ran this cam for a couple of years and swapped back to a less aggressive cam. I only did this for fuel purposes as I was getting ready to drive home to NJ from CA. It is a great setup, however: pricey on the fuel. As for the lift, the stock springs were fine with this cam, I never had an issue running it. Not sure on port size as I'm not home to check it. The port does run deep and is blended nicely.
