Since, I don't have access to a spare kingcab cabin in the Junkyards here... I'll have to add metal in between and then shape it. I do have a rusted box with me and its a long one with an overhang. The mounts have been modified and I'm going to change them again to fit the new box. Will also have to make larger wheel wells to accommodate those big 33 inch tyres.

I'm also planning to make the rear windscreen a power window like it comes on a Toyota Hilux. Let us see... if we can do it.. Smile

Finally... I've chopped the cabin from the back and in the process of adding extra side walls and roof metal. After strengthening the structure, I will add the electronic sunroof. Just coated the cabin with basic primer to avoid rusting. Some pics -

Hi Guys.. Had to put the project of Datsun on hold as I got busy in restoring 2 other classic cars. Now finally time has come to finish the Datsun 4x4. I've completed the extension of the single cabin by adding extra metal sheets and changed the back panel also with sliding window which we borrowed from an Indian load truck. I also modified the front wheel arches by extending them to cover the extra tyre which is protruding out of the left fender.

At present, I'm working on fabricating a new bed right from the scratch. I'll share some pics of the rig ...
