I have seen the pics of 620 Crew Cabs in foreign countries. I know it may be a stretch but does anyone have info on how to get one here or someone who has one here they would sell? I'd love to do one with a standard cab shortbed behind the crew cab. Thanks. BH

I think there's one or two in this country. I doubt if they would sell them.

There was a company in the late 70's that made a conversion for small pickups. They stretched the frame, and put a fiberglass extension on the cab. They were OK,but you could tell it was an add-on.

look on the web,you might find a pic.

I have searched around off and on for years. I even worked a few connections to some people out of the country to try and import only a cab and rear doors to no avail.

I know a guy that imports car parts from japan. The next time I see him I will ask what's the probability of getting one over, last time I checked it was about $5000 to get one here. That was 3 years ago and for a subaru minivan.. I'd say a quad cab would be coming from Guam or Saudi..

I can't believe someone hasn't brought some here from Mexico.  I bet just over the border there are some lurking around. I'd love to do a 620 Crew Cab in Titan Silver to match mine.

There's a guy named Steroid on 'the other site' LOL He has one. I think he cut the roof off it.

I've heard there's some in South America. It's pretty rough to get them up here though with their politics.

The Low Mfg quad is originally from Mexico. The story about it: the vin # got switched after it was 'brought' into the US so it could be legally registered. From the '80s this story has been repeated at car and truck shows it appeared in. The irony to this: Low Mfg used it as a promotional tool for converting 2wd Datsuns to 4wd and to advertise their line of Datsun aftermarket parts but didn't have anything to do with quadcabs.

You'd have better luck finding a 720 quadcab in MexicoThumbs Up

I don't mind a modified vehicle but man, it would have been hard for me to cut the top off that truck. THe 720 Crew Cabs must be far more plentiful. I have a connection at Mooneyes Japan that offered to help me get some Toyota Hilux parts but thats been years ago. He is a very cool guy. Maybe I should work that angle, take the advice, and do a 720?

With a connection in Japan u will have a lot to choose from these RHD models in 2wd or 4wd. Either way, it would be cool to drive any one of them.
