i may be wrong here but i have never had any problems with the nslv or bleeding the brakes at the master or at the wheels. to me it sounds as if the brake master is bad and when you put new fluid in and bled/flushed all the old fluid out it also removed some gunk out from around the seals inside the master and that is what caused the failure

try this
get a piece of tubing (aquarium airline from walmart works well) and attach one end to a bleeder on the master and put the other in a clear container with enough fluid to cover the end of the hose and get someone to slowly push the brake pedal all the way down while the bleeder is open while you observe how mush fluid is coming out then let the pedal come back up then put your thumb over the end of the hose and check the pressure if you cant hold it then the master is good.

another thought just hit me
are the shoes on correctly? each wheel has 2 sizes of shoes 1 long 1 short, i know this is a long shot but its still possible.

Still on the never ending quest to squeeze more from an L series
