Nice progress man! What's the cost of the build on this engine so far? I like threaded inserts, a LOT! I've used a mcmaster and reid supply for locking threaded inserts in some heavy duty manufacturing environments and had great success! Thinking about doing a jack screw in the timing cover mod? Keep up the great work!

Thanks EZ.  Engine cost so far shew I dunno well over 3500$ Probably closer to $4,000. The time sert worked great and I would recommend installing it even if your idler hole isnt stripped. What jack screw mod are you referring to?

Engine is in and running.  I have put about 40 miles on it so far.  Break in period is 1,000 miles and I am keeping it under 4,000 rpms.  Still waiting on my electric fans and I still need to build a custom intake and exhaust.  As soon as I get it tagged she is headed to the dealer for new seat belts.

Braden that motor is a thing of beauty. Great work on the rebuild. Is this gonna be a daily driver for you or your wife? Or you gonna use her just for fun?

Daily driver.   For the 620, I mean the Turd,  to get the attention she deserves and for me to be able to do the things I want to do to her I need another set of wheels. The engine in the 240 should last 20 years or better and I think that is plenty of time for me to get my truck done.  I want to take the 620 COMPLETELY apart.  Frame off, completely stripped.   I'm tired of the kingpins and the disc brake swap.   Im going ball joints with coil overs.  Complete rebuild on the sr20.  Adding the pathfinder lsd.  All new paint and wiring.  All new interior.  All new rubber seals bumpers etc.   I just cant do all these things in one day so the 240 is gonna get the miles while the 620 rests.  Im tired of seeing my truck rust. lol
