Thanks, I will go by them today and ask.
I was thinking in the Metro Seattle area though, since I'm going to be down there for a week it would be ideal to have the truck repaired while there - hopefully a lot cheaper than in BC. |

You can get and exhaust kit on rockauto.com for about $160 shipped to Seattle. It would probably be cheaper to ship it to Seattle than Victoria. Change it yourself. Just order everything but the catalytic converter unless you need that too. That kit includes the tailpipe, intermediate pipe, muffler and gaskets.

Ouch on the muffler and cad. Sorry can't do anything for ya from way down this way. Glad ya got things figured out. Good luck and hope you can find a cheaper price on the exhaust.

Took the truck for a test drive to Nanaimo yesterday and she is running a lot better. The rotten exhaust still vibrating and causing popping and banging though (The drive is no freeway, it's twisty and windy with traffic lights, so a damn good testing ground for a new exhaust system when I get it.)
Anyways I do not believe I will be driving the truck to Seattle as it's just too uncomfortable and noisy. For now she will be for local trips only within the Greater Victoria area. I might be able to have the exhaust system shipped here using a local company for a fair price (My dad is part of a local auto club and they know a few things about stuff like that) Would make a fun winter project too - last winter was replacing the cylinder head, timing chain assembly and head gasket and then putting it all back together. This winter an exhaust replacement and a few other replacement parts to make things interesting. Heheh. |
